Lesson Title: The Ministry of the Saints – Lesson Eight: LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU!

📅 Date: June 29, 2025

📖 Text: Philippians 2:5–8 (NKJV)

I. INTRO: RECAP & CONTEXT

We are saved by grace — not effort

We are planted for purpose — not by accident

We are called to influence — not just exist

POINT:

To walk in divine authority, we must think with divine alignment.

Philippians 2:5 – “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”

A hinge point connecting identity (who we are) with action (how we live).

The saints already have His Spirit — now Paul calls them to take on His mind.

POINT:

Identity without application = immaturity.

Paul calls the mature into alignment.

II. “LET THIS MIND…” – UNDERSTANDING THE POSTURE

Mind “Greek: phroneō” – to think, to be intent on

➤ Not just thought — but a mental posture

➤ A mindset that shapes behavior

What Is Posture?

The condition of your heart, mind, and spirit.

In the Kingdom: Posture is everything.

1. Posture Reveals the Heart

1 Samuel 16:7 – “The Lord looks at the heart.”

Performance without the right posture carries no Kingdom weight.

➤ God responds to posture before performance.

2. Posture Determines Access

1 Peter 5:6 – “Humble yourselves... that He may lift you up…”

Gifting without posture can block or delay destiny.

➤ Posture unlocks favor and spiritual authority.

3. Posture Prepares You for Release

Before God promotes — He postures.

Before He sends — He shapes.

Before He releases — He refines.

➤ Posture is preparation.

III. INTERNAL ALIGNMENT

Mark 1:3 – “Prepare the way of the Lord…”

Before the way is made — the heart must be postured.

Internal Alignment =

Heart, mind, will, and spirit in full agreement with God’s will.

You can’t walk in what you haven’t aligned with.

You can’t carry what you’re not postured to handle.

Amos 3:3 – “Can two walk together unless they be agreed?”

Agreement starts inside.

IV. POSTURE SHAPES INFLUENCE

Position ≠ Posture

➤ You can be positioned right but postured wrong.

God honors posture, not title.

Humility, character, integrity — required posture to be entrusted.

Luke 16:12 — “Be faithful with another’s before your own.”

➤ Faithfulness is posture.

➤ Honor is posture.

Posture is the soil where Kingdom influence grows—or dies.

V. THE POSTURE THAT UNLOCKS EVERYTHING: THE MIND OF CHRIST

Philippians 2:5 – “Let this mind be in you…”

Hebrew: (lev / lēv) = heart-mind

Hebrew thought connects thinking with the heart.

It’s a HEART thing, not just a HEAD thing.

Proverbs 4:23 – “Keep your heart… for out of it flow the issues of life.”

Luke 6:45 – “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”

Key Insight:

- Head knowledge quotes Scripture.

- Heart posture embodies it.

Hebrew breakdown of lev (לב):

ל (lamed) – instruction/shepherding

ב (bet) – house/dwelling

Key Point ➤ God’s instruction must dwell in the heart — not pass through the head.

KINGDOM TRUTH:

“You don’t struggle because you don’t know it — you struggle because you haven’t surrendered to it.”

VI. THE MIND OF CHRIST FUELS THE MINISTRY OF THE SAINTS

Aligns You with the Will of God

John 5:19 – “The Son can do nothing but what He sees the Father do.”

➤ Power flows through alignment, not rebellion.

Produces Obedience That Dismantles Darkness

Philippians 2:8 – “…He became obedient…”

Obedience = warfare.

Satan doesn’t fear your knowledge — he fears your submission.

2 Corinthians 10:4–5 – “Take every thought captive…”

➤ The mind is the battlefield. Posture determines victory.

Is the Gateway to Walking in True Power

Romans 12:2 – “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

Key Point ➤ Transformation comes before demonstration.

The anointing flows where the mind is aligned.

Equips You to Fulfill the Saints’ Mandate

Ephesians 4:11–13 – Fivefold equips saints to the measure of Christ.

That measure = not just power, but posture.

Key Point ➤ You can’t be the Body of Christ with a carnal mind.

VII. FINAL POINT: THE MIND OF CHRIST MAKES YOU A KINGDOM AGENT

The enemy fears a believer who:

Thinks like Christ

Submits with humility

Walks in authority

Stays in Kingdom cadence

Such believers:

Tear down strongholds

Shift atmospheres

Advance the Kingdom daily
