Lesson Title: Release: Full Access

 Date: March 16, 2025

 Text: John 16:15

“All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

1.    INTRODUCTION: FULL ACCESS THROUGH CHRIST

1.     Jesus holds full access to the heart, will, and authority of the Father.

2.     What belongs to Him, He releases to us through the Holy Spirit.

3.     “He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

•        Take (lēmpsetai): to receive or draw from with intention.

•        Declare (anangelei): to reveal, announce, or unveil clearly.

Key Thought:

The Holy Spirit isn’t bringing something new—He is transferring divine revelation

from the Father, through the Son, and into us.

II.    WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE RELEASED?

1.     Release means:

•        To allow something to move freely.

•        To remove restrictions so something becomes available for purpose.

2.     Release = Awakened + Equipped + Sent

Through Christ, we’ve been brought into the family, given the right to become sons

(John 1:12).

As sons, we’ve received: Righteousness (right standing), Inheritance and Purpose

III.    WALKING CIRCUMSPECTLY IN THE LIGHT

Ephesians 5:15 – “Walk circumspectly…”

Greek: akribōs → Carefully, accurately, with purpose. To walk circumspectly is: To walk in wisdom,

To be strategic,

To redeem the time,

To walk with Kingdom purpose.

Ephesians 5:14 – “Awake, you who sleep…”

Paul is calling the church to wake up, shake off spiritual slumber, and walk in divine awareness.

IV.   RELEASE REQUIRES FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Misconception: The Holy Spirit is only about power. Correction: He is a Person, not just a power.

You fellowship with a Person, not use Him like a tool.

2 Corinthians 13:14 – “The fellowship of the Holy Spirit…”

Greek: Koinōnia: Fellowship, partnership, communion, participation.

Three Dimensions of Fellowship:

1.    Personal Communion

Daily interaction, sensitivity, relationship.

2.    Partnership in Purpose

The Spirit is our ministry partner, mission guide, and leader (Acts 13:2).

3.    Sharing in His Nature

His thoughts become ours. His mission becomes ours. His power flows through us.

Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is alignment with Christ’s ongoing mission on earth.

V. THE HOLY SPIRIT: OUR PARACLETE (HELPER)

Greek: Paraklētos (παράκλητος)

“One called alongside to help.”

John 14:16 – “Another Helper” (Allos Paraklētos)

“Another of the same kind” → The Holy Spirit is of the same essence as Jesus. He is not less than—He is the Spirit of Christ continuing Christ’s work.

Comforter:

The Comforter brings renewal, transformation, and protection, and completes the work of Christ in us.

VI.  SPIRIT OF TRUTH: “RUACH EMET”

The Spirit of Truth:

-       Reveals God’s reality.

-       Leads us into alignment with divine truth.

-       Is the active Presence of God’s unchanging nature.

Truth isn’t a concept—it’s a Person, and the Spirit brings us into alignment with Him.

VII.  THE INDWELLING VS. EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Indwelling Presence

-      John 20:22 – “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

-      Romans 8:9-11 – The Spirit now lives in us.

-      Like Adam in Genesis 2, God breathed life into them.

Empowerment for Ministry (The Baptism)

-       Luke 24:49 / Acts 1:8 – “Endued with power from on high.”

-       This is not the same as indwelling—it is the release of power to walk in purpose.

Greek:

1.     Enduo: To put on like a garment.

2.     Eperchomai: To come upon, overshadow.

VIII.  JESUS’ EXAMPLE

-       John 1:32 / Luke 3:21-23 – The Spirit descended upon Jesus at baptism.

-       Luke 4:1 – “Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit…”

-       The Spirit empowered Him for public ministry.

So it is with us:

-       Saved and sealed with the Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).

-       But we are also to be filled and released by the Spirit for Kingdom work.

9. CLOSING EXHORTATION: POSTURE FOR FELLOWSHIP

The Holy Spirit is not a power to be used—He is a Person to be followed.

What should we do?

1.       Posture ourselves to fellowship with Him.

2.       Acknowledge His presence daily.

3.       Pray with awareness of His Person.

4.       Follow His leadership with intentionality.

THOUGHT TO MEDITATE ON:

“I posture myself to walk with the Spirit of Christ. I do not walk alone—I walk with the Helper. I receive theSpirit not just to feel power, but to walk in purpose. I am awake, I am aware, and I am released!”
